Character Moves ( also called “Player Moves” ) are at the heart of the game mechanics, driving the “fiction” of a particular game session. Moves are used for conflict resolution by players, where “conflict” may be an actual fight, solving a puzzle, and so on.
When a player uses a move, they declare to the EIC what they are trying to accomplish. The player and the EIC agree upon the move, and the player then describes how their character is performing that move. After that, the player rolls any necessary dice to accomplish the action, and the EIC describes the results.
